Northampton’s new opera company, the NORTHAMPTON OPERA GROUP, presents its second opera gala concert in the Cripps Theatr

International pianist and conductor Phillip Thomas leads a cast of local and international singers in a delicious medley of irresistible operatic favourites. Soprano Linda Richardson, Baritone Michael Gibson, and Tenor Nick Dwyer, are joined by a hand-picked local chorus and rising young stars from the county.

Repertoire will include much loved arias, duets and choruses from La Traviata, L’Elisir d’Amore and I Lombardi as well as the trio from Faust, Moses’ Prayer (Rossini) and a rare masterpiece from Puccini’s opera Edgar. You will also hear possibly the most famous opera chorus in the world, but you’ll have to come to the concert to find out what it is!
